Southeastern Branch

The Southeastern Branch, based in the Greater Moncton area, covers Westmorland, Albert, and Kent Counties.

Many of its members also have roots within Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, of which the area was part prior to the creation of New Brunswick in 1784.

The Southeastern Branch meets at 2:00 PM on the third Saturday of each month. The Annual General Meeting is held on the second Saturday of May. Contact us using the form provided if you wish to attend. Meetings are usually held at Saint John the Baptist Anglican Church, 28 Woolridge, Riverview. All meetings are open to the General Public.

Please note: NBGS is managed entirely by volunteers. There is no office, no phone and no staff. Replies may be delayed, but we will respond as soon as possible.

Meetings & Events

The Southeastern Branch meets at 2:00 PM on the third Saturday monthly, with the AGM in May.

Meetings are on Zoom; email to attend. Usually at Saint John the Baptist Anglican Church, 28 Woolridge, Riverview, all are public.

Generations - the Journal of NBGS

The Journal of the New Brunswick Genealogical Society

Generations is published quarterly by the New Brunswick Genealogical Society and is distributed to all members electronically. Generations is made up almost entirely of articles contributed by members and NBGS encourages submissions that deal with genealogy and family history.

A subscription to physical copies of Generations by mail may be purchased when you join or when you renew your membership. The price of Generations by mail is being phased in over the next few years; expect prices to increase until June 2027. Note: US tariffs may also affect pricing for US members.

NBGS is proud to partner with the Provincial Archives and other organizations to bring you unique resources.

NBGS partnered with the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick (PANB) and the Anglican Diocese of Fredericton to bring you the Anglican Registers Project.

NBGS has partnered with PANB and the University of New Brunswick to bring the Probate Records Project to this website. (coming soon)

NBGS, PANB and the Association of NB Cemeteries are working on the NB Cemetery Records Project, a database of cemetery resources in the province that will be launched on this website.
