NBGS Membership Plans

Please note: If you are renewing your account and wish to make ANY changes, you must cancel your old membership plan and sign up for a new membership plan with the options of your choice. Making changes will reset your account expiry date. Examples of changes include switching from paper Generations to digital, or digital to paper, or to add or remove branches. Click the button for instructions.

1. Individual Plans:

Personal Membership Plan - $40/Year

A Personal membership plan includes 4 digital issues of Generations per year, plus unlimited access to our members-only resources.

2. Institutional Plans:

All Resource Subscriber - starts at $50/Year

For institutions (libraries, museums, archives, genealogical societies, and others) an All Resource Subscription provides full access to our website's collection of resources.

Journal Subscriber - starts at $50/Year

For institutions (libraries, museums, archives, genealogical societies......), a Journal Subscription provides a physical copy to your institution. (No website access).

3. Join by Mail:

Download the form and mail it with payment to the listed address. Members outside Canada paying by cheque or money order must use US dollars.

How Membership Works

Membership is on an anniversary basis and is open to anyone with an interest in the history of New Brunswick and its people.

Join NBGS for access to:

Members-only resources
A branch in your area of interest
Generations, our journal, 4x per year

Plans start at $40 per year.

Payment Options

You can pay online by credit card using our payment system (VISA, MasterCard & AMEX). We also accept e-transfers sent to treasurer@nbgs.ca (Canada only) and payments by cheque or cash.

A subscription to physical copies of Generations by mail may be purchased when you join or when you renew your membership. The price of Generations by mail is being phased in over the next few years; expect prices to increase annually until June 2027. Note: US tariffs may also affect pricing for US members.
