Shearer Family
My dad's family immigrated from Scotland in 1931. I don't have anything to back this up, however, he always said that at the time they were the largest family to come over all at one time. While there were larger families to come from Scotland, they came in small groups.
This may account for the picture taken in Quebec City. They came by train to Moncton, then Anagance, where they were met and taken to Knightville. In the picture is Lily (oldest, within about a year went back to Scotland) 1911-1986; Alexander (KIA in Holland) 1916-1944; Williamina Anne Cameron 1893-1982 ; Robert (Bob) in mother's arms 1930-1999 ; Alexander Marshall Shearer 1885-1966 ; Williamina "Minnie" 1913-1978 ; front row - Mary 1922-1954 ; Harry (wounded in France July/44) 1923-1994 ; Angus 1928-2001 ; Ruth 1926-1996 ; Louisa 1918-1984 ; Alfred Bruce 1920-2007
