NBGS Meetings & Events

Most meetings include a guest speaker on a topic of interest to the branch, plus the opportunity to ask questions or chat with others about your research. All are welcome to attend.

Most of our meetings are hybrid. You can attend branch meetings in-person; or via Zoom from anywhere. Login to access the Zoom link. Clicking the link automatically places you in the waiting room until the host can admit you to the meeting.

Provincial Board of Directors - Saturday, 23 May 2026 at 11:00am and AGM at 1:00pm (hybrid)

Meeting of the Board of Directors at 11:00 am.

Lunch is provided at no cost to the Board of Directors. Others may join us for lunch at their own expense. Please contact membership@nbgs.ca for pricing and to reserve your spot.

The Annual General Meeting will begin at 1:00pm.

Saint John Branch - Wednesday, 27 May 2026 at 7:00pm (hybrid)

Saint John Branch 45th Anniversary Celebration - Wednesday, 27 May 2026 at 7pm - in-person and on Zoom - at St Luke's Church, Main St, Saint John. Use the parking lot off Metcalf and ring the doorbell.

Join us for this special Anniversary Celebration. Zoom attendees will be able to hear a brief presentation on the branch’s history, and participate in the drawing for door prizes from our library. In-person attendees will have access to displays of Saint John Branch historical and other genealogical items, and there are tables available for members to bring Show & Tell of their own family history. Please send us an email if you’d like to reserve a table for your display. (saintjohn@nbgs.ca). Think up any questions you might like help with – this will be a perfect opportunity to chat with fellow family history enthusiasts.

Coffee, tea and cake will be provided.
