NBGS Meetings & Events

Most meetings include a guest speaker on a topic of interest to the branch, plus the opportunity to ask questions or chat with others about your research. All are welcome to attend.

Most of our meetings are hybrid. You can attend branch meetings in-person; or via Zoom from anywhere. Login to access the Zoom link. Clicking the link automatically places you in the waiting room until the host can admit you to the meeting.

Saint John Branch - Wednesday, 27 May 2026 at 7:00pm (hybrid)

Saint John Branch 45th Anniversary Celebration - Wednesday, 27 May 2026 at 7pm - in-person and on Zoom - at St Luke's Church, Main St, Saint John. Use the parking lot off Metcalf and ring the doorbell.

Join us for this special Anniversary Celebration.

While this will mostly be an in-person event, there will be a brief Zoom session, where attendees will be able to hear a presentation on the branch’s history, and participate in the drawing for door prizes from our library.

Once we sign off zoom, the celebration will continue.

In-person attendees will have access to displays of Saint John Branch historical and other genealogical items, and displays of personal research projects. Feel free to bring Show & Tell of your own family history research.

Please send us an email if you’d like to reserve a table for your display.

Think up any questions you might like help with – this will be a perfect opportunity to chat with fellow family history enthusiasts.

Coffee, tea and cake will be provided.
