NBGS Meetings & Events

Most meetings include a guest speaker on a topic of interest to the branch, plus the opportunity to ask questions or chat with others about your research. All are welcome to attend.

Most of our meetings are hybrid. You can attend branch meetings in-person; or via Zoom from anywhere. Login to access the Zoom link. Clicking the link automatically places you in the waiting room until the host can admit you to the meeting.

Southeastern Branch - Saturday, 18 April 2026 at 2:00pm (hybrid)

The Southeastern Branch of the New Brunswick Genealogical Society will hold a workshop Saturday April 18^th, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. (Atlantic Time). This will be in person at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, 28 Woolridge Avenue, Riverview, N.B. and online via Zoom video conferencing. All NBGS-SEB members can go to the website to get the zoom link for the April 18^th meeting.

Last month we had to cancel suddenly and wasn’t able to have our speaker, Janet Clouston from the Association Heritage New Brunswick & Albert County Museum. She will be with us in April and will be speaking about the call-to-action concerning museums in New Brunswick and why they are important to us. We will also have Daphne Wetmore, the President of the NBGS with us. She will be going through the website with us, showing us the ends and out of it.

Miramichi Branch - Tuesday, 21 April 2026 at !:30pm (in person)

The next meeting of Miramichi Branch NBGS will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 1:30 pm at the Newcastle Public Library. This is an in-person meeting only.

There is no formal program for this meeting. This will be a discussion/brainstorming session to get your ideas for speakers/programs for upcoming meetings. Have you heard a speaker that you would recommend? Do you have a presentation on your family, a historic building in your area, cemetery, etc. that you would be interested in doing. Come and share your ideas with us so we can begin developing programs for the fall and try to get our ZOOM sessions back on track.

Charlotte County NGBS Zoom Meeting

A major project of Charlotte Branch has been to find the ways and means to digitize The Saint Croix Courier. That dream is coming closer to being reality. Please join us for our next Zoom meeting (Thursday, April 23, 7 pm) as Jason Gaudet shares The Courier’s history and the Branch’s journey towards possible digitization. Bring stories to share of your discoveries through The Saint Croix Courier.
