This exciting new genealogical project is already revealing some of the surprisingly hidden history of the Scots in New Brunswick. The Scottish Portal is a gateway to discover New Brunswick's Scottish history, until now a largely untold story, through archival documents, images, and biographical accounts. Suzanne Blaquiere will give a presentation on the life of Perry Dumaresq Esq., who was a veteran of the 1812-1814 war. He lived in Halifax, Bathurst and Dalhousie where he died and was buried in 1839.
